Every week we bring you a taste bud-tingling, saliva-inducing recipe for you to feast your eyes (and stomachs) on.
This afternoon we’re bringing you something that is both delicious and good for you (in other words, it's the perfect treat).
We give you the recipe for Banana Walnut Bread, courtesy of our very own Cliona McDonnell…
Ingredients:
3 eggs
100g almond flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
1½ tablespoons Raw Honey/ Agave Syrup
80g walnuts (chopped)
2 bananas (mashed)
2 squares of 70%-80% dark chocolate, melted (optional)
Method:1. Preheat the oven to approximately 230°C (210 Fan Oven).
2. Mix the eggs, almond flour, cinnamon, baking powder, honey, walnuts and bananas in a bowl.
3. Pour the mixture into a a 23 x 13 cm loaf tin (greased and dusted with flour) and bake for approximately 25 minutes.
4. When you take the loaf out of oven, drizzle the melted chocolate on top (optional) and leave to cool.
