If you, like most of the country, were sitting in front of the telly last Friday night, flicking between the most epic Graham Norton show ever and possibly the worst Late Late Show ever, you’ll be sadly aware of how little Ireland has to offer in terms of talk show entertainment.

Bella from Fair City and an Irish dancer who couldn’t Irish dance took centre stage on one, while a Fresh Prince of Bel Air reunion, (while Bradley Cooper, Heather Graham and Michael Douglas watched), took place on the other. It was enough to make you give up on RTÉ completely.

UNTIL NOW, that is.

Word has just reached Her.ie that the season finale of The Saturday Night Show is about to bring television gold into your living room this weekend.

After that whole ‘drag queen’ fuss at Eurovision, Linda Martin will appear on the show to tell her side of the story… so far so dull. The good news, though, is that she’ll also be singing. Linda will be performing a cover of Daft Punk’s Get Lucky.

Once more, we are not joking. Linda will be performing the song of the summer. We’d be less excited if Daft Punk themselves were in our living room. In fact, the only way this could get any better is if she wore the green dress and made it a Why Me? mashup.
