Becoming parents for the first time can be a little...well, daunting. When you're faced with your first nappy explosion or major midnight tantrum you're going to wish your little one came with a list of well laid out instructions.
Unfortunately for you, (and all those other sleep-deprived parents out there) they don't, but this brand new boot camp might just be the next best thing.
WaterWipes is holding a “Daddy Bootcamp” for fathers to be (and the mamas too) in the Dean Hotel, Dublin 2, on Saturday, 10 June. And before you start imagining military-style nappy changing drills or crib-building obstacle courses, don't worry, this will be a fun session to give you hints and tips for being the best parents you can be. Like always get involved with the imaginary tea parties for example...
There will be a team of experts speaking on the day to help new parents. The first speaker is sleep expert for babies and toddlers, Niamh O’Reilly. You better take some notes during her talk if you want to get some decent kip during the first few years.
Other speakers include child psychologist David Carey and President of the parent support group Cuidiú, Catherine Wells. The MC for the free event is our very own JOE writer and comedian Eric Lalor.
The event is the perfect chance for you and your fella to get the lowdown on everything you should expect when having a baby. Think of it as parenting survival 101.
