He's se-duck-tively good looking.
Yes, ornithology has never been so cool following the rise of a rare Mandarin duck. The first reported sighting of the majestic duck was on 10 October in Central Park and since then people have been- no pun intended, flocking to see him.
The vibrant colouring of the newly dubbed "glamour duck" has been dazzling passersby and with his striking blues, purples, greens and gold, it's not hard to see why.
He's just so boujee.
As the duck is a wild bird in East Asia, the question everyone wanted to know was how did he end up in New York City?
Fox News has reported three possible theories on how he came to be in Central Park. The first is that he may have escaped from a local zoo, however, none have reported a missing animal. That seems to leave only two other explanations, either the duck was owned privately and escaped or was dumped by someone who no longer wanted him.
If the latter is true, the duck is most certainly loved now with people turning up in their droves to try and catch a glimpse of the handsome bird.
One American TV host even went as "glamour duck" for Halloween.
We absolutely adore this story and the message is pretty cool: It's good to be different.
