His foster owners have given him the BEST name.

It's literally like that scene from The Proposal when Sandra Bullock neglects to keep an eye on Ryan Reynold's family dog and it gets whipped by a circling hawk. Well, the situation of nightmares literally occurred in real life, except this time, Sandra wasn't around to use her Blackberry as a bargaining tool and save the day. A teeny tiny chihuahua puppy was snatched by the bird of prey and subsequently dropped in mid-air. He was rescued by Austin Animal Centre who has labelled the seven-week-old trooper "Miracle Puppy" after surviving the dramatic fall. Not only that but astoundingly, he escaped relatively unscathed as the shelter report "wounds on his head and chest are fairly mild." Hard as nails! People report that it was construction workers that came to the one pound puppy's rescue after working out what happened. He is now resting up and recovering in a foster home for the next few weeks but Austin Animal Centre has issued a warning to the public about these kinds of incidents:

"Let Miracle Puppy's story be a reminder to protect your small pets from wildlife! Hawks, owls and coyotes will prey on small animals, even in your fenced backyard. If you have small pets, keep eyes on them at all times while outside."

His foster parents have dubbed him with the witty name, Tony Hawks and report that "he's doing amazing and is as sweet as can be!" Once able, the little pupper will be moving onto his "furever" home and there have been more than a fair few offers, so many in fact that applications have now closed until they can be reviewed.
