Lacey Turner will be returning to our small screens and the role of Stacey Branning in EastEnders early next year.
According to reports show bosses are keeping details of the storyline under wraps but have promised it will be a memorable comeback.
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins told
Digital Spy: “Stacey’s last time on the Square was iconic. But that was just the first act. There is so much more to come for Stacey – and her return will send ripples of drama through the Square.”
The actress also revealed that she is looking forward to her return in January: “I may have left
EastEnders over three years ago but the show has always been in my heart, as has Stacey, and she has never really left my side. I am so excited about returning and seeing what the future holds for her.”
During her first stint on the soap Lacey won numerous awards for her portrayal of Stacey who was involved in some of the soap’s most explosive plots, including an affair with her boyfriend’s father Max Branning and the murder of Archie Mitchell.
Lacey played the role of Stacey for six years before leaving in 2010.
