Because beards mean business.

Like many of God's creatures, we ladies have an arsenal of tricks up our sleeves for the purposes of making ourselves more physically attractive to potential mates. Makeup, a certain dress, a grin that you think looks sexy and hides all your chins (but is actually just goofy) - we all do certain things that we think will bring us from a four to at least a solid seven and a half. No shame in our game. Guys also employ a few sneaky moves to help them pull, the most common of which has to be growing a beard. We're blaming this on the rise of the hipster, which has seriously elevated the status of stubble and beards in recent times. Once the preserve of dads, beards are now a big sell and lads are copping on and hanging up their razors. Nothing wrong with this - we love a beard - but maybe be wary of shaveducking. It's a term that describes "the lingering unease that emerges when you realise that you’re not quite sure if you’re attracted to a man, or just his facial hair" according to the folk at Metro. We've all been there - ever fancied a lad mainly because he had a serious beard? Shaveducking gets its name from the idea that you're dating someone with a beard and are terrified of them shaving, lest you find you're not into them anymore. We're not advocating that you be shallow when on the pull, but maybe keep shaveducking in mind next time you're being chatted up by a beardy man.
