Former Miss World Rosanna Davison WILL appear on the cover of Playboy USA, it has been confirmed.
The Irish model, and daughter of singer Chris De Burgh posted a press statement from her management company to her website today, telling fans that Rosanna will appear in the notorious magazine’s September issue, due on sale on August 16th.
It’s bad news for the lads who were hoping to see more of the model, however, as it has no transpired that there will be no new shoot. Instead, the magazine will use the same snaps that Playboy Germany published of the model last year.
The pictures were taken in Rosanna's regular holiday haunt of Mauritius, where the model became engaged to her long-time beau Wes Quirke over Christmas.
A press statement from Rosanna's management company read:
We are very proud to announce that Rosanna Davison will be the first Irish woman to be featured in PLAYBOY USA. Her photo shoot will appear in the September issue, to be released August 16th 2013.
Rosanna met Hugh Hefner in his famous Playboy Mansion in May this year to speak with him about appearing in the publication, and he is delighted that she will be the first ever MISS WORLD winner to pose in one of his PLAYBOY Magazines worldwide.
The photographs were shot in the tropical paradise of Mauritius and originally featured as a cover shoot for German Playboy in 2012. Following its release, Playboy USA decided to use the shots in its iconic publication which reaches an international audience.

Playboy USA will use the same shots of Rosanna featured in the German edition of the magazine last year.
