Fans of The X Factor are assured at least one exceptional performance this weekend, as it has been revealed that chart-topper and honorary Irish man Ed Sheeran will be a special guest on Sunday night's results show.
Sheeran will be taking a break from his sold-out UK tour to make a special appearance on the reality TV show, where he will be performing his brand new single Thinking Out Loud, which is currently occupying the number two spot in the Irish charts.
The news comes one day after Ed was honoured with Best Solo Artist Award at the QAwards. Following his four recent shows in the 3Arena, his album x shot back up the charts and just hit double-platinum sales in Ireland.
