We’re in the countdown to the 2016 General Election, but if like us you’re a bit careless with your post, you could be on the hunt for that polling card.
Whether you put it in a ‘safe place’ which is now a mystery, or you still haven’t received a polling card after registering online for the first time, you can still vote on the day.
So what do you need to do on the day?
Make sure to check up your local polling station (contact your local authority if you’re not sure), and then attend on the day with photographic ID. This can be a passport, Garda ID or driving licence.
Polling stations will open from 7am and will remain open until 10pm that evening.
