Don’t get us wrong – we love the Irish festivals. Guaranteed to brighten up your summer fiun calendar, we wouldn’t miss the big ones for the world. For hot summer sounds in the sunshine, Primavera has to be one of the best. The hugely popular music festival just happens to take place in one of the most exciting and lively cities in Europe, Barcelona.

Full festival tickets are still on sale for Primavera Sound 2013, and will set you back €250, which is pretty fair considering solo acts regularly charge in the region of €80 for a single Irish date. 

The festival takes place from the 22^nd to the 26^th of May, so if you’ve got some holiday time you can take last minute, why not throw caution to the wind and head along? Musical attractions this year include The Breeders, Blur, Hot Chip, The Vaccines, Wu-Tang Clan and My Bloody Valentine to name but a few.

While it’s easy to get wrapped up in the magic of the music, don't forget that Barcelona at any time of year is an amazing city to visit and it’s right on your doorstep if you’re partying at Primavera.
