Lorraine and Darragh Parker have launched an online campaign to help retrieve their daughter's lost teddy.
Four-year-old Clodagh was on a day trip to Dublin Zoo last Sunday with her parents and baby brother Daniel when she lost "pink teddy".
The family from Youghal Co.Cork arrived to Dublin Zoo around 3p.m on Sunday. Darragh brought Clodagh to the bathroom and a few minutes after, Clodagh's parents realised that the little girl had left her pink teddy, described as soft and worn, behind her.
Family friends have been tweeting about the toy, using the hashtag #getpinkteddyhome and Darragh's workplace, Youghal Radio Station
CRY 104FM , also shared the story.
Speaking to the
Irish Mirror, Lorraine said: "She loves that teddy bear so much, he goes everywhere with her. He is even in the background of photos from birthday parties and things.
“She has been a bit distracted this week with summer camp but she is still asking about him every night. At the moment we are saying he is still at the zoo playing with the monkeys but it will be heartbreaking if we can’t find him for her.”
