You know the summer is officially over when The Late Late Show returns to its coveted Friday night slot on RTÉ 1.
Now don’t get us wrong, we at Her.ie are actually quite fond of old Tubs, but he said it all tonight when he introduced The Boomtown Rats (yes, really) with the line “Nothing changes, really”.
He’s right. We’ll never rival the likes of the Graham Norton or Jonathon Ross vehicles across the pond, and Ireland’s flagship chat show simply can’t compete on a big scale.
Just as well, so, that the audience are always willing to entertain us. Huge hat tip to Her.ie reader Eleanor who spotted this cheeky poser in the audience tonight and sent us in the snap saying; “Thought you might like to know the late late audience posers are back with a fresh face for the new season!”
It’s the most exciting thing that happened up until that point in the show, so well played Eleanor. Still not a patch on this lad from last year's Saturday Night Show, but there's a long season ahead.
UPDATE: He's BACK!
Two in one night, lad - you're spoiling us. Hat tip to Mike Mc Loughlin for this one!

In other LLS news, The Late Late Owl has joined Twitter. Gold.
I am two years away from retirement and I'm sitting here on the rafters listening to this bollocks. Nightmare.
