The Winter weather has not gone away yet. With four severe weather warnings currently in place across the country, you'd be very tempted to stay in bed. The other option is to confront Storm Jake, who is currently battering the country, particularly in Northern areas like Donegal. The most severe orange warning is in place on "coastal fringes of the north, west and south", while there's a snow-ice Warning for Connacht, Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal. A status yellow warning for wind is in place across the country until 10am.

Met Eireann forecaster Siobhan said: “It is the tenth winter storm so far this season, obviously we are into March, but it is the first storm that has a real wintry element. “Now it is going to continue to see a core of strong gale force south-westerly winds, this morning and in fact it is very stormy out there, particularly for the west and south-west, we have had gusts of up to 72knots reported and 63knots at Shannon airport so they are well into hurricane status.”
