Much like the golden ticket for Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, we wonder what the requirements actually are for the highly coveted, but rarely seen, Coppers Gold Card?
Maybe it's a test of patience that sees you having to stand in the queue for over an hour? Perhaps it requires you to carry seven Jägerbombs from the bar back to your seat, without spilling a single drop? If we had to take a guess, it probably involves some sort of dance-off to the 5ive mega-mix.
Whatever it takes to get a Coppers Gold Card, reader Catriona O'Brien thinks that her friend Róisín deserves one.
She says: "My good friend Róisín recently posted a poem about her love for Copper Face Jacks, where she has spent many a night. As you can see by the poem, she is a true session moth with an unwavering love for this establishment. Her goal in life is to become a proud owner of a glorious Gold Card, and I believe her raw poetic talent is enough to snatch one of these up."
Catriona adds: "Róisín is a girl that hails from the west of Ireland and she's attending college in the big smoke. In an effort to find a balance between her studies and social life, she attends Copper Face Jacks every Tuesday and Thursday in the hopes of finding 'the one'."
It appears that Róisín is extremely clued-up on the goings-on at the Harcourt Street venue because she has "plenty of time to observe what happens around her in the place of her dreams, where nights often take a turn and end up resembling the Irish drama 'Can't cope won't cope' just a tad bit too closely."
Here's Róisín's best attempt at earning a Coppers gold card. What do you think?
Know anyone that deserves one more?
