Ken brought food to the dogs to feed them.
These are the pictures which encouraged people to donate money to the project.
But it was when a number of pictures of Ken (see above) were posted online that his idea really took off. Donations started to flood in from people who were touched by the photographs.
Earlier this month, because of the funds he received, he was actually able to sign a one-year lease for a space which he is hoping to transform into a more permanent no-kill shelter.
He explained: “The next step will be to raise enough money to care for as many dogs as possible. Also, we need to make a system for finding the dogs good homes when they are ready”.
The dogs are much happier and healthier thanks to Ken.
He is hoping to find them good homes and continue to help other strays.
