So with that in mind, we started thinking about all the things we let our best friends (and only our best friends) get away with. Some of these might sound very familiar *cough cough*. 1. Borrowing *Everything* You Own A friend will borrow a dress happily after you swear twenty-five times you really don’t mind. A best friend will be confident in slipping on your new shoes for a special night out once she’s run it by you quickly. 2. Giving an Honest Opinion on Your New Boyfriend This is tetchy ground for most and even your closest friends have to tread carefully, but at the end of the day the likelihood is that your BFF is your fiercest defender and protector, as well as occasionally being the greatest pain in your ass. If she thinks something is up with this guy, listen carefully. 3. Finding It Absolutely Hysterical When You Embarrass Yourself in Public That one time in your early teen naivety when you figured using a razor to shave “around” your eyebrows was probably the same as plucking them. It didn’t work out exactly as planned and you will never live it down, because your bestie still laughs about it like it was yesterday.  4.Bombarding your Facebook with links, comments, photos... What happens when you put two best friends together? In-jokes, 'hilarious' stories from that girl's weekend in Galway and a shared appreciation for men. Now give you a platform where you can post all of these with videos and more? It's a posting apocalypse. You don't even mind - you now officially have the funniest Facebook page of anyone you know. (Just don't expect people to share your humour. Not everyone is that cool). 5. Asking You for Ridiculous Favours, Regularly Can you babysit on New Year’s Eve, because she hasn’t had a night out in ages? Can you drop her to the airport... two hours away… at 4am? Of course you can. Because the day will come when she’ll return the favour. It always does. 6. Give you a major reality check Fallen off the edge of the earth for a month after meeting a new boy? Or are you acting like a total diva about something ridiculous? Your best friend will undoubtedly be the first one to call you out and hit you with some home truths. 7. Calling In At Any Time, Without Warning So what if you like to whip your bra off the second you come in the door and it’s still on the arm of the couch? So what if you skipped the washing up, threw on a day-glo face mask and are busy clipping your toenails when the bell rings? She’s coming in anyway, and there is no invite required. 8. Throwing Personal Insults at You Regularly Telling you your new dress looks like a used couch or your granny’s recycled curtain material? It might be the truth, but you have to be a blood relative to get away with that. Not to mind what she had to say about your last haircut. After she took a picture of it for her records of your best/worst embarrassing moments. 9. Tell you the truth about what you’re wearing This one does nothing for your ass and you know it.
