Hands up all the short gals out there?

If you're a little shortie, it appears that getting into a relationship with a taller man will work out for the best. According to a new study, couples with a greater height difference are happier in their relationships. The research comes from a survey of 8,000 people - both male and female - however, it even dates back to prehistoric times. Women generally went for taller men back then as they were seen as better hunter-gatherers, and could protect their family with more force. However, nowadays height even comes into play career-wise. Taller men are assumed more capable and trustworthy in a career - and therefore appear to be more successful to women. BUT, height is only a factor in the first 18 years of a relationship and after that, it apparently doesn't matter - so take from that what you will. Dr Sohn in the Journal Of Personality and Individual Differences, who conducted the study said: “Although it has been known that women prefer tall men in mating for evolutionary reasons, no study has investigated whether a taller husband makes his wife happier. "A greater height difference in a couple was positively related to the wife's happiness." Saying that though, there have been many famous couples with short women and tall men that have not worked out. Just look at Kourtney and Younes Bendjima who recently broke up... and many years ago Kim had a major height difference to her ex-husband Kris Humphries...
