This research says that sexual satisfaction peaks once your relationship hits the one year mark. Brought to our attention by The Telegraph, the study concentrated on 3,000 people, aged between 25 and 41. Those involved in the study, undertaken by researchers at Munich's Ludwig Maximilian University, were asked to rate their sex lives. The findings were analysed indicating that 'the moment of greatest sex life satisfaction' was at the one year mark. We're not too sure about these findings... The research also showed that the more a couple argued, the less sex they had. One of the suggested reasons for the decline of passion was that people are  learning and asking questions about each other for the first 12 months, and after this point, they are familiar with each other's needs. To be fair, this sounds like things go downhill after a year but that's just a negative way of looking at things. Some relationships improve after the year mark because you're more comfortable around each other. In an ideal situation, you'll be able to discuss everything with your partner and if communication is good, it bodes well for your sex life. Having children did not seem to be a factor on the quality of sexual satisfaction with lead researcher Claudia Schmiedeberg commenting:

"We did not find that having children played a major role in a couple’s sexual satisfaction, which is remarkable as research has shown that sexual frequency is heavily influenced by the existence and age of children".
