Well, this is worrying.

They say that we can't afford a house because we eat to much avocado toast, but new findings show that property prices are rising by the day... so is it really our fault we can't afford them? A new survey by Daft.ie, has found that the average home in Ireland is going for €241,000, which is 8.9 percent higher than it was this time last year. And if you want to buy a house in the city, the price is nearly 50 percent higher, coming in at €363,800. To further that, South Dublin city and county and North Dublin city prices are the highest in the country, with prices going above half a million. According to the survey, the annual price of inflation in the capital in September was 9.9 percent, compared to 8.2 percent for the rest of the country. Will we ever be able to afford a home of our own?
