Not a day goes by that we don't see somebody on the internet denouncing photoshop. It's great for memes and visually placing yourself in compromising situations, sure. But what photoshop is probably best known for is altering images of people to make them appear slimmer and more toned, to give the illusion that their skin is super clear, or to essentially make them not look like themselves anymore. And that's exactly what models Callie Thorp and Diana Sirokai wanted it to do. But not because they wanted to change the way their bodies looked, but because they wanted to prove a point.

The pair took to Instagram to share a few images of themselves. One undoctored (below) and another (above) photoshopped to make their bodies slimmer and erase their cellulite. In the photoshopped photo, they literally look like different people. This, they said, is the issue with photoshop, and why it makes so many women feel so insecure about their bodies. On Callie's post, she wrote that the photos proved how extreme editing can go sometimes. And how easily photos can be doctored to represent something they are not.

"Whilst photoshop has its place and need in some parts of industries this is the extreme when it comes to editing, it just goes to show how much we can really alter ourselves. "I think @dianasirokai and I look perfect just as we are, two friends smiling for a photo. "We want to show women that it's okay to look 'normal' to have cellulite, stretch marks and tummies that aren't flat and toned."

Diana shared some similar sentiments on her own Instagram too, saying that she thought they looked "amazing both ways."

"The purpose of this was to show you all how magazines and the media takes editing to a different level. "Models and celebrities do not even look like theirselves. We live in such a fake world its time to bring real back. Own who you are and slay!"

People were only delighted by Diana and Callie's photos, saying that the women looked class in both photos, but that they absolutely prefer the second one. "This is brilliant," said one user. "Absolutely beautiful in both images but the second image is by far my favourite," said another.
