Love and partnership seems to be the overwhelming theme of the new set of emojis. Some of our favourite gals are about to find their male counterparts.
Emojipedia have confirmed the candidate list for the Unicode 9.0 set of emojis. In layman’s terms, that means Apple have confirmed the emojis they intend to create. Emojipedia, your one stop shop for all emoji trivia, has imagined what these could possibly look like.
The food section includes some MUCH needed additions like an avocado, carrot and bacon. Pancakes, an egg and peanuts are also on the list. For sport a canoe, scooter, wrestlers, jugglers and a cartwheeling girl have made the cut. General smileys will include a lying face, clown face, nauseated face and a drooling face.
The biggest additions come to our favourite characters. The princess will get her prince, the bride her groom, Santa will be joined by Mrs Clause and the dancing señorita will at last have a señor.
A pregnant lady and a selfie had will also join the library.
