Meanwhile, another supplier, Largan Precision, has said its 3D-sensing lenses will be "ready to ship in the second half of this year."
This depth-sensing selfie camera will mean that your phone will recognise your face in 3D, allowing you to use your face to lock your phone and preventing someone else from using a photo of you to access it.
The iPhone 8, the company's ten-year anniversary smartphone, is expected to launch in September of this year.
