Simon Cowell has reportedly agreed to return to The X Factor UK this year in order to rescue its ratings.
The music mogul, who left the show three years ago to join the judging panel for US version, is said to be finalising the details with television bosses.
An insider told The Mirror: “Cowell is determined to get the show back to its best. He’ll sign the deal very soon but has told the team that he’s on board. Everyone’s over the moon.”
This sentiment was echoed by another source who told the Daily Mail: “Everyone agreed that the best change for the UK X Factor is Simon’s return. It’s what the audience really wants.”
As for Simon’s involvement with the US version of the talent show, that’s anyone’s guess. Whatever happens, it looks as if the soon-to-be dad is going to have his work cut out for him!
