Gina Daly and her husband Karol have amassed a huge following over the last few years on Instagram thanks to their "dirty dishes". Their cookbook 'The Daly Dish' is the fast selling cookbook in Ireland. It features recipes for making "bold dishes" a little bit healthier but still as delicious. If you follow Gina on Instagram you will know her house is very quirky looking and she takes pride in the style. They live with their two kids in Meath, Gian took us around her favourite room and told us all about the inspiration behind the design. Their kitchen and living room link up and they have followed the same style throughout "we thought how cool would it be to recreate a space in your home that felt like we were in our favourite pub." The living room definitely has chic restaurant vibes, with loads of cool personalised artwork around. Over lockdown Gina decided to do a DIY job on her kitchen and make it fit in with the rest of the room. "Up until about two months ago, this kitchen was a country cream kitchen, it had a little oak trim and it had a white ceiling." "I would be fairly handy with DIY. I liked the idea of my presses going up to the ceiling, obviously I wasn't going to be able to do that" so she painted the ceiling navy to "give that illusion that the presses are higher than they are. I'm chuffed with the result of it." The whole resdesign didn't even cost her that much. "I just went with copper accessories, I had the original handles, so I just painted them copper. That cost eight euro to do all the handles, it was cheap, it was quick and the best part is I can come in and go 'I did that myself'".
