In conversation with Women’s Health, Kathryn Boling, a doctor at Mercy Medical Center, said you need to be careful when using foods containing sugar for foreplay.

It’s very simple really - the sugar can lead to a yeast infection and no one wants that.

"Using anything with sugar in it as a lubricant (whether on purpose or not) can cause a yeast infection as yeast thrives on sugar,” explained the health expert.
