Be sure to explore further afield as Tuscany is rich in history and art. Check out the Statue of David and of course, the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Sorrento Down to the south of Italy now, and Sorrento is a charming getaway, perfect for a romantic break away with your loved one. Famous for limoncello, Sorrento is also the perfect starting point to explore Naples and the Amalfi coast. Venice If there’s one place in Italy that’s sure to steal your heart, it’s the magical city of Venice. Home to the world famous canals, the city is a World Heritage Site that offers the best of Italy. Wander through the streets, relax on board a gondola and simply, while some time away. Stop into Saint Mark’s Basilica, the most famous of the city’s churches. Milan Often known as the fashion capital of Italy, Milan does not disappoint when it comes to the wide range of shops on offer. If you’re looking for designer goods, high-end dining and night life, then Milan is the place to be. Get your architecture fix by stopping into Milan Cathedral, the Gothic Duomo di Milano cathedral and the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent, home to da Vinci’s fresco ‘The Last Supper’. Lake Como Head back to Northern Italy’s Lombardy region to discover the beauty of Lake Como. Its dramatic scenery and deep-blue waters lie nestled at the foothills of the Alps. Be sure to bring some extra cash with you though, as the hotels and resorts around are the height of luxury.
