However, in her new book, The Married Sex Solution: A Realistic Guide To Saving Your Sex Life, clinical sexologist Kat van Kirk has highlighted that the humble barley hops can actually provide some serious boosts in the bedroom for both him and her. Here are just some of the ways a cold one can make your sex life hotter, courtesy of the folk at Women's Health.  Helps him last longer Now, moderation is key here - (see Whiskey Dick above) - and we all know that too many drinkies can negatively affect his performance. According to Van Kirk, research has shown that light to moderate beer drinkers reap the benefits of the phytoestrogens, or estrogen that occurs naturally in the hops and can help delay ejaculation. While the perfect amount differs from person to person, two to three beers is gold - after that its counter productive. Boosts your lady-boner The phytoestrogens found in hops not only delay ejaculation but also increase a woman's libido. They serve to balance the female hormones and "can get you ready to jump in the sack". Firmer erection The darker the beer, the harder the member. That's because darker hops contain more iron, which "have been shown to ramp up levels of blood flow to the penis, creating a firmer, ready-for-action libido."
