Loose lips have sunk the Instagram ship this week with famed instamodels admitting to staging photos en masse. And while we're no where near instafame (even though we do have more than 11 likes on some photos), we’re ready to admit that we too have manipulated the scene to appear more glamorous. Here are our confessions. Cassie says:

I took roughly 10 versions of this picture. The two cookies in the middle of that stack are burnt. Like indelibly so. That’s not milk in that cup, it was white hot chocolate and it was horrendous. I spat a mouthful back into the cup immediately after this photo was taken.

It took a lot of effort to get my phone in the right position to take this photo and make it look effortless. I burnt my hand on that cup and only made tea for the photo. I rooted out that cup because it was the right colour. Liz says:

This photo was taken at an angle for two reasons: one, I didn’t want to admit I was watching The Late Late and two, there’s an incredible pile of washing just sitting to the left of the camera. I then added a warm filter, because there was a stain on my trouser leg and it made it less obvious.

I forced my sister to pull stupid faces with me more than once for this shot. I hated that I had a triple chin. Apparently that’s not acceptable, even though you look deranged in the rest of the shot. I also may have had to retake it when I noticed tomato sauce on my chin after a cheeky Mccy D’s. Clearly not Insta worthy. Emma says:

This is my homemade Fantastic Mrs Fox Hallowe’en costume from last week. I had absolutely no input in the making of my mask. My friend Neasa did all the work. I just complained about being claustrophobic and not being able to breathe. #SozNeasa Cathy says: Standard 'what weekends are made for' snap except I had to take it at least three times because the dog eared pages of the magazine just weren't co-operating. And you know, balancing a cup of coffee while taking a photo is a difficult enough task in himself. The fact my nails are matching is genuinely a coincidence. I swear.

It's Nutella and it has my name on it so that alone makes this pretty much my favourite photo ever. I had to filter this one up because it was taken at work and there was all manner of messy things on my desk. Nutella though.

I wasn't drinking wine on this Thursday... I just thought of the wine/throwback joke and went through my camera roll to find a suitable picture. This photo was taken in a restaurant in Waterford but I posted it from the Luas in Dublin. I don't know what day of the week I actually took the photo - but it probably wasn't a Thursday.
