If you have a weak stomach, you may not want to read the following. Now, we don’t know about you but generally if an insect gets into our house, we get it out again as fast as possible. However, this guy? Well, he just eats them.
Yep, you read that right: HE EATS THEM.
David Gracer has eaten more than 5,000 different species of insect in the last 11 years. He’s addicted to the taste of fly pupa (baby house flies) and keeps a large stock of it in his freezer. He also keeps cockroaches and scorpions in the fridge.
Oh and we should probably add that he’s married too. Would you kiss a man who regularly eats bugs? Yeah, we didn’t think so.

David enjoys eating different kinds of insects
David’s collection of bugs is so extensive that he currently has over 12,000 insects from 20 different species stored in his home for when he gets hungry.
The 47-year-old English teacher appeared on the programme My Crazy Obsession in the US and since he opened up about his strange habit, his story has spread like wildfire.
“I get told that I’m crazy, or sick, or weird, and I mean that’s what it is to be in an unpopular position. There is this complete double standard that people have,” said David.
“Bugs, as long as they’re in the ocean – crabs, shrimp and lobster – are just fine to eat. Whereas if bugs are on the land, suddenly it’s all ‘eww,’” he added.

David argues that half the world’s population has insects in their diet and that grasshoppers have more vitamins and are lower in fat than beef.
Eh… we think we’ll stick to our beef thanks.
