Fancy a flight? Aer Lingus just became a little more luxurious.  The Irish airline has today announced details of the new business class experience which will be launched on transatlantic flights from March 2015. Travellers availing of the new service will enjoy a custom Vantage seat which converts into a full-lie-flat bed, designed by Portadown based Thompson Aero. The bespoke full lie-flat seat means snoozing in the air will be a breeze. The new business class cabin has been designed so that 90% of the seats have direct aisle access, giving greater privacy and the ability to get in and out of seats with ease. For those who prefer to work while they fly, with complimentary Wi-Fi accessible through personal devices, and a mobile network that allows customers to send and receive texts and data. Built-in power points with universal sockets and USB power outlets means you can stay fully-charged inflight also. Of course one of the benefits of bumping up a class means better food. The new menu will feature "signature dishes from the best Irish restaurants across the four provinces of Ireland". Seasonally driven, the menu will be changed four times yearly, while a pre-dine service will be available to customers travelling from John F. Kennedy and Boston airports. The new service will facilitate those customers who wish to sleep for the duration of the flight. As for entertainment, you can sit back and catch up on your recent releases with a personal multi touch 16’’ high definition monitor and access to  50% more new release movies, and 100% more TV content, including Game of Thrones and True Detective. Business class passengers will have access to  a redesigned and repositioned priority check in, Fast Track security and use of Aer Lingus exclusive business lounges in Dublin, London Heathrow, Boston and, from March, Terminal 5 JFK. Flights are on sale with lead in fares starting from €899 each way including taxes and charges. Speaking at the official launch of the new Business Class service at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin, Aer Lingus Chief Executive Christoph Mueller said, “Our long haul business has grown at record pace over the past two years. We continually strive to improve our customers’ Aer Lingus experience offering greater convenience and product enhancements. We have increased the number of destinations to which we fly. We have introduced high speed Wi-Fi on our services to the U.S. We clear U.S. customs in Ireland. Now we are delighted to upgrade our entire business class experience offering our customers an excellent environment to work, relax, dine and sleep.
