It’s the centre of the action every year around the festive season, but the Queen Vic looks set to be the scene for even more drama this Christmas as the new landlord finally moves in.
Actor Danny Dyer has joined the cast of the British soap as Mick Carter, new head honcho at the famous pub. Carter will be joined by his wife Linda, played by Kellie Bright, son Johnny, (Sam Strike) and daughter Nancy (Maddy Hill).
In new promotional shots released by show bosses, Dyer is seen standing outside the Queen Vic, flanked by his family.
Mick is the brother of current Eastenders cast member Shirley, played by Linda Henry.
The soap's executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: 'My team have worked incredibly hard over the past few months to create the Carters - a contemporary British family with cracks, knocked edges and a touch of darkness that is going to make them very special to watch.
