Reality: Two drinks in, the struggle to keep your eyes open becomes real. Exhaustion hits. All of the exhaustion. 10pm rolls around and it's time to go home and crash. For several days. And in some cases, several weeks.
2. Waiting to get those results
Expectation: I worked hard all year, I've got this. Nothing to worry about here.
Reality: You didn't actually work very hard. You've never been more worried about anything in your life. You start having nightmares. For those couple of weeks between finishing your last exam and waiting for your results, you are the fear.
3. The job prospects
Expectation: I've got an awesome degree in my pocket. There'll be people lining up to give me jobs. Lining up outside my front door.
Reality: ..............................................
Reality: You can't think of one single thing to say about yourself. And you're not even sure why you're actually applying.
