As we enter a new year, revising who you follow on Instagram is always a good idea.

If there's one thing we should all do today, it's unfollowing anyone or any account that makes us feel bad about ourselves, that doesn't align with our values, and that sparks any feelings of comparison.

After this clear out, you may want to add some new life to your feed, and luckily, there are tonnes of accounts that in my experience have made my social media scrolling a little healthier and happier.

I've curated this list based on things I have learned from following these incredibly talented creators, their relatability and raw honesty, as well as their ability to welcome you into their online lives like a friend, as opposed to feeling like a consumer.

Clóda Scanlon @clodascanlon

Clóda's content, to me, feels like a sit-down chat with a big sister—natural, warm, and comforting.

She shares the highs and lows of life in your 20s, but her content is suited to all ages.

Ranging from brave honesty in challenging moments to heartfelt relatability and travel advice, her daily postings are always welcomed.

If you're looking for more connections with like-minded people, the Tipperary native has hosted a variety of successful social meet-ups across Ireland this year, with more to come in 2024.

Clóda is a kind soul and a positive force, both online and in person.

Daniella Moyles @daniellamoyles

I've done a clearout of followers every year on Instagram for the last three years, and Daniella's account always remains.

This woman is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to healthy mindsets and motivation, and she shares it generously.

Daniella uses her platform for wholesome content surrounding everything from psychotherapy to yoga, family life to fitness, and everything in between.

Once you read her book, 'Jump', this positive and educational account becomes even more inspiring.

Daniella's posts are grounding and evoke feelings of peace and calm, which is always not always found online in the digital era.

Radhi Devlukia @radhidevlukia

If you're looking for inspiration for healthy cooking in 2024, look no further.

While we all know the wonderful and inspiring Jay Shetty, his wife Radhi offers a whole new element to mindfulness.

Radhi imparts a world of knowledge when it comes to food and eating, many of which I never considered before I began following her.

Her account is health-focused, with a fair share of relatable, personal, and funny content, as well as tips and tricks for healthier living.

Every time she pops up in my feed, I learn something new.

Jess Sheridan @jess.shers.ie

I had the pleasure of meeting Jess a couple of months ago in a setting where I was alone, and she could have easily stayed a stranger.

She gave her time freely for conversation, and the moment stuck with me long after the event ended.

Following someone online because of their kindness in real life can be a rare thing in this day and age, and, let me tell you, her kindness transfers to her Instagram platform.

Jess shares everyday content that resembles being on a close friend's story at times: relatable, engaging, encouraging, and lighthearted.

Each day, she shares thought-provoking 'Morning Coffee Thoughts' and an uplifting quote, all of which make a morning scroll more likely to be a positive one.

Victoria Niamh @victorianiamh

Victoria is proof that the comeback is more powerful than the setback.

Her content ranges from hilarious to important and relatable to fun as she details her experience and journey through body image issues.

The coach is on a mission to build body confidence and break mental health stigmas, and those who follow are more likely to absorb her message.

Victoria gives Big Sister energy and is one of the healthiest accounts I have found online for giving that much-needed and much-deserved feel-good energy to women.

Joining along with her kitchen dance videos is very much encouraged.

Dev Skehan @dev_skehan

Firstly, Dev's content creation skills deserve a special mention (teach us your ways).

If you're about to embark on your travels or even looking to explore Ireland more, this is the go-to account for real advice, tips, and information.

More importantly, the healing journey and soul-searching that Dev allows her followers to witness is truly what Instagram should be all about, as it's an invitation and motivation to do the same for yourself.

The emotion that this jet-setter lets go of on-screen cannot be faked or filtered.

The creator's account is a colourful, fast-paced, energetic, and endless feed of everything that being in your 20s is all about.
