You may have already heard of Nigel Holland. But if you haven’t, he is a father-of-three who has a rare degenerative condition known as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
His daughter Ellie also has it and that is why last year Nigel wrote a list of things he wanted to do while he still had his mobility.

Nigel has a degenerative disorder which causes muscle wastage.
The list of challenges, which included activities such as scuba-diving and playing table tennis, has also been turned into a book called The 50 List.
But it wasn’t just a list for himself, he wrote it to encourage his daughter to embrace life and do as much as she could.

His daughter Ellie also has Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
Speaking to the Telegraph Nigel said that he wanted Ellie to realise “that life is to be challenged and that given an opportunity to experience something new, she should grab it.”
Already the pair have already ticked off quite a few things. In fact Nigel only has three items left to do, something that his daughter seems to be very proud of. She said: “I love my dad because he’s adventurous, fun, cool, and he’s crazy.”
