If your other half sneakily moves over in the night, they'll trigger the Lane Keeping Bed mattress's sensors and automatically be rolled over to their rightful place.
The science behind the bed was inspired by Ford's work with lane-centring technology in cars.
Sleep expert Dr Neil Stanley explained that while mattress hogs often don't even realise what they're doing, they could jeopardise their partner's sleep - and their relationship.
"Humans are most vulnerable when sleeping, so we're programmed to wake when something or someone touches us unexpectedly.
"If someone moves on to your side of the bed, this defence mechanism will kick in and you'll have a broken night, often while they continue to sleep soundly. I've seen it ruin relationships."
Sadly, Ford doesn't have any plans to bring the bed to the market any time soon but we're praying that someone else does because this is an invention that society badly needs.Explore more on these topics:
