We understand that sometimes employment contracts don’t always end well. Sometimes it’s a mutual decision… other times, you may be more likely to want revenge. Unfortunately if you’re the employer or workplace, that could have disastrous (viral) consequences. We’ve all heard about people having their frustrated rants on social media – but what happens when the disgruntled employee has access to your company Facebook page? A childish (but somewhat hilarious) page name change could be on the cards. The guilty man in question was recently fired from The Lorne Hotel in Glasgow but didn’t take the news well. Logging into their Facebook page, he decided to make some executive editorial decisions: Image: Evening Times Speaking to Glasgow’s Evening Times, General Manager Thom Murphy confirmed a former employee was responsible for the prank: "I would just like to clarify that we will be able to have this removed, however this will have to go through a process with Facebook. "The matter has arisen due to a disgruntled ex-member of staff who managed to gain access at some point over the weekend. "We do of course see the lighter side of our Facebook page being hijacked, however we’re trying hard to have the offensive word removed as soon as possible."
