And what better way to celebrate awkwardness than with a big old awkward slow dancing in public. Ahh. The city of Derry fully embraced the discomfort of slow dancing by hosting an Awkward Slow-Dance flash mob in Guildhall Square. The organizer, Nicky Harley told Belfast Live that the event was about "embracing awkwardness". She said: "There was nothing more awkward than a slow dance at a teenage disco and today was about celebrating that. "So much weight and pressure in the act of side stepping to slow music.
