There are entire bookshelves devoted to having a successful marriage but when it comes to matters of the heart, we think it's best to listen to those in the know.
So, we were very keen to hear the advice of the Jean and Lawrence 'Bud' Lyford, who this year celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple met in high school back in 1936 and have been together ever since, even enduring time apart during WWII when Bud served in the military and almost lost his life.
"I've got my diamond he gave me and I've got my wedding ring and I've never had my wedding ring off," said Jean.
