The big day is looming ever closer, and thousands of Dublin and Mayo fans are still engaged in the mad scramble for tickets.
And although All Irelands final stalwarts Kerry won’t be involved in this year’s big decider, one Kerry fan is in desperate need of a ticket for Croker too. We’ve heard plenty of pleas for tickets in the past few weeks, but this one tugged on our heartstrings a little. Have a read for yourself…

My eldest sister, Kay, who is a HUGE GAA Fan cannot get a ticket for this Sunday's All Ireland Football Final match between Dublin V Mayo. It would mean everything to her if she could get just one ticket to attend the game, like she has every year since 1982 (I would like to add that she was a toddler back then)!
She hasn't missed an All Ireland Senior Football Final since that famous goal by Seamus Darby denied Kerry their 5th All Ireland Football Title in a row. My Dad took her every year regardless of who was playing in the final. He was SO proud of her record and always wanted her to keep it up. Unfortunately, my Dad passed away suddenly in 2007. Kay has vowed to continue this tradition (in memory of our Dad, RIP) and desperately wants to be in Croke Park this Sunday to see her 36th Football Final in a row.
Although our family has been very much involved in GAA in Kerry, it has been impossible to get tickets for this Sunday. She has been searching high and low for the past few weeks. As you know yourself, they are like gold dust and there are many out there who cannot get a ticket. However, it looks at this stage that her record of having attended 35 All Ireland Football Finals (which includes 3 replays) is going to be broken! :-(
I'm attaching a photo of her when she took me (I'm the one in the Kerry Jersey) to the Munster Football Final (Kerry V Cork) in 2007 just after Dad passed away.
I know we have more photos of Kay at matches through the years but they are 'old' and at home in Kerry (I'm away at college).
I'm hoping that this goes some small way to showing how good she is in looking after us and bringing us to games. That's why I want to help her to get to the game hence why I'm emailing you.
She is heartbroken at the thought of not being able to go to the game.
If there is anyway anyone can help her get a ticket - we would all be SO grateful!
Thank you for taking the time to read her story.

There are a few daddy’s girls in the Her.ie office too, so this one tugged on our heartstrings a little. If you can help Róisín’s big sister Kay out, drop us a line to hello@her.ie and we’ll put you in touch.
