Yesterday we were busy waxing lyrical about the Late Late Show. Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no doubting that it’s an Irish institution that gets the nation talking every Friday night. We do not have the same grá, however, for The Saturday Night Show with Brendan O’Connor. That might all be about to change.
We’ve just heard from a friend of a friend (aka the KC show on Today FM), that one of our favourite characters on one of the best TV shows of the last decade is on his way to these shores.
Dean Norris, who plays Hank Schrader on Breaking Bad will jet into Ireland to appear on the RTÉ chat show next Saturday night, October 5th.

Dean Norris, who plays DEA agent Hank Schrader, is set to appear on The Saturday Night Show
His appearance will come as most fans struggle to say goodbye to the groundbreaking series, as the final episode is set to air this Sunday.
We’re still a little gobsmacked that Dean only merits The Saturday Night Show and not the Late Late, so we have to assume it’s all his schedule permits.
Either way, we’ll be camped on the couch (or outside RTÉ) when the time comes. Oh and Hank, if you could drop a note to Jesse and let him know he’s also very, very welcome… that would be great.
