There are countless unrealistic standards that women's bodies are expected to meet.

You can't be too big, but you shouldn't be too skinny either. Your skin needs to be flawless. You should do whatever you can to get rid of your cellulite. The list goes on... One expectation that many are rejecting lately is that women need to be clean shaven all the time. Armpits, legs, and pubic areas - all that hair needs to be gone. Except it doesn't, and blogger Sara Puhto, or 'saggasara,' has shared a post detailing exactly why you don't need to shave your body if you don't want to. The Finnish blogger shared the unfiltered, unedited photo to her Instagram. In it, she is showing off her unshaven armpits and legs to prove that you don't need to be "lean and groomed" to be beautiful.

On the post, Sarah wrote:

"Should one have flawless skin, a lean body and groomed body hair to be considered beautiful? No. Because that idea of beauty is non-existent."

She went on to say that beauty is not an elite group that only some people can join, and that everybody has their own reasons for wanting to look the way they do.

"I currently don't shave my leg or armpit hair because it's cold where I live, my skin is breaking out and I do not, nor ever will have a lean tummy with 0 skin folding or minimal amounts of fat. That's the reality."

Sara also shared a photo earlier this month showing how different your body can potentially look when you're standing as opposed to sitting. She said that she used to feel self-conscious about people looking at her stomach on the beach, before she realised that nobody's body looks perfect when they're sitting down. In the post's caption, she wrote:

"You are not fat. We all have fat, especially on our tummies and it's completely normal. And that fat does not make you worth any less as a person!"
