Is there anything to be said for another decade of the rosary?
Prostitutes in Limerick city may have God on their side, with the news that a religious group from the east of the county have begun a practice of saying a decade of the rosary every night outside a suspected brothel.
According to today’s Limerick Leader, the group, which does not wish to be identified, has invited the public to join them in prayer outside a premises on Upper William Street in the city that they believe to be a brothel.

Speaking to reporter Anne Sheridan of the Limerick Leader, a representative for the group said: “We’re not against the women per se – they are somebody’s children. It’s also not good for business here.” A woman praying with him (both said they did not want to be identified), added; “It’s wrong. We don’t agree with it. It’s against the law of God.”
Though the man who spoke to the paper admitted he had not seen the women in recent days, he told the reporter he did not believe their “prayers have been answered yet”.
