Is anyone else thinking of updating their CV and taking a trip to Montrose?
RTÉ have released figures for their top earners in 2010 and 2011, and let’s just say none of the personalities who made it on to the list are struggling…
According to data posted on RTÉ.ie, Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy topped the pile, with a whopping €723,000 paycheck for 2011, up 12% on his 2010 fees. It’s not all good news for poor Tubs though, for his latest contract he took a 31% pay cut, taking him down to only €495,000 – however will he manage.
Just behind Ryan in 2011 was his Late Late Show predecessor Pat Kenny, who earned €630,000 for the year. Kenny may also be facing a cut though, as his contract with the national broadcaster is up for renewal this year.

Marian Finucane’s rate of pay has been a subject of much controversy over the past number of years, given that she only presents her radio show two days a week and in 2011 brought in a pay cheque of €492,000. However in her new deal with the station her fees have been almost halved; she now earns €295,000 a year.
Rounding out the top five are Joe Duffy and Miriam O’Callaghan. Duffy brought in €378,000 in 2011, reduced to €300,000 in his latest contract, while Miriam O’Callaghan has dropped to €211,000 from her 2011 rate of €307,000.
