After months of hard work, Abbey Clancy and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec were crowned this year’s Strictly Come Dancing champions last night.
The model, who is married to Stoke City footballer Peter Crouch, saw off strong competition in the form of BBC newsreader Susanna Reid, actress Natalie Gumede and singer Sophie Ellis-Bexter to claim the Glitterball Trophy.
It was an emotional yet spectacular evening during which all of the finalists scored highly. There were also a few tears but it was Abbey who had a huge grin on her face at the end of the night.
She took to Twitter after the show to post a picture of the trophy and thank her supporters. The caption read: “This is for u everyone who voted u inspired me to do my best !!! Thank u again and again and forever x [sic]”.
Abbey and Aljaz were this year's Strictly Come Dancing winners.
