Aldi has issued a warning to Irish customers over fraudulent emails doing the rounds this week.
A hoax coupon worth €100 has arrived in peoples' emails this week, prompting the German supermarket chain to release a statement warning against them.
Aldi Ireland took to Facebook to warn:
"This post is fraudulent and can not be redeemed in our stores. There are no money off vouchers currently in circulation apart from those that have appeared in the Sunday papers last weekend.
"For further information please contact our customer service team on 1800 991 828."
According to the
Irish Mirror, an Aldi spokesman confirmed:
"This post refers to an online scam offering a €100 voucher. It was posted by an external source and is fraudulent.
"We will always post about any official partnerships and we advise never to engage with any third party offers without confirming their validity on our page."
