This two-month-old Chihuahua, abandoned by its owner and left with a broken leg, has thankfully found a new home.
Candy, as she was called by staff at the Peninsula Humane Society, was rescued after a member of the public found her on the street in East Palo Alto, California.
After deciding to publicise her story, the organisation apparently received hundreds of calls from people willing to take her in and now it has revealed that she has found a new home.
Speaking about the case, spokesman Scott Delucchi told SFGate: “This is a little more unusual than your usual stray dog because the dog had an injury and the dog was dyed.”
