A new survey has revealed that while most people are glued to their social media channels on a normal day, a quarter said they would consider a social media ban for guests on their special day. The study by One4all compared wedding traditions with new trends including social media habits and changing names. Ten per cent said they would take a double-barrel approach while a mere 2% would merge theirs with their other half’s, Dawn O’Porter-style. And it's not just the bride and groom who are enjoying the romance, with 24% of guests admitting to having a romantic encounter at a wedding they attended. Almost three quarters of these said it was with a fellow guest while 21% admitted to wooing a member of the bridal party. Three in four people said they would be willing to leave the kids at home for ceremonies with a no-children policy while only 2% would consider not going to a wedding if it meant taking a day off work.
