It’s the start of festival season and exam weather and the sun is supposed to be shining. Alas, the weather forecast for the coming weekend is bleak and it’s more than likely that we’re going to be swooning to the Foo Fighters in our rain macs with watery pints.
Jaysis with the weekend that was in it we were convinced we had it in the bag. Don’t worry Molly, it’s all politics.
Averil Power has resigned from Fianna Fáil describing Micheál Martin as “a leader without any followers” and the party as “simply not fit for government”. That can’t be good but at least it gives us something to grumble about.
The party was great, but now we’re broke. The exchange rate is brutal and something about pensions is happening. We don’t have mortgages but we probably can’t afford them. Our main concern in life now is plotting to make millions.
The Leaving is looming, college exams are still in full swing and professional exams are imminent. The referendum was a fun study break and all but now we’ve got some major catching up to do.
We’ve already mentioned the lack of sunshine but a separate weather conversation can be had the heaviness in the air. It’s gross. It’s sticky and it does nothing for our hair.
This one is an old fail safe for Irish pessimists. The traffic is always bad and cyclists are always annoying. Here here to true equality, equally hating everyone on the road.
