Well, we've got some good news: it turns out that, scientifically speaking, December is actually a pretty great month to have a baby. Yes,being born around now probably means that past and future birthday parties are impacted by Christmas parties - and that you've gotten your fair share of 'joint' Christmas/birthday gifts over the years. However, there are a lot of benefits to a December birthday, too.

December babies are more likely to be morning people

And go to sleep earlier, too. A study of Italian and Spanish university students discovered that those who had December birthdays were more likely to be morning people than those who were born during the summer.  And as for bedtime? Different studies have found that children born around this time of the year tend fall asleep earlier, as well.

December babies are more likely to live longer

If you were born in December, there's some good news: people with December birthdays are more likely to live to the age of 100. Or 105, to be more precise, according to a study in the Journal of Aging Research.

December babies are more likely to be natural athletes

According to a International Journal of Sports Medicine, people who are born in the autumn and winter months are more likely to be natural athletes. Researchers reckon this is because of the higher levels of vitamin D exposure throughout pregnancy - so if you are December-born and super sporty, this could be the reason why.

December babies have some lovely star signs

This one is more for if you believe in astrology. But whether you were born between December 1 and 21, or December 22 to 31 could make a huge difference. According to Mother.ly, those born before the 21 would fall under the Sagittarius sign, and be "extroverts who like to travel." Meanwhile, those born between the 22 and 31 would be a Capricorn and "determined and helpful."

December babies are less likely to contract heart disease

People born in December have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, according to a study in the United States. The Washington Post report that investigators believe this may be due to "seasonal variations.
